Lately our theme seems to have turned to food, so i’ll follow the trend and talk bout my dinner with family at tanjung sepat few days ago. For those who have not heard bout the place..its a fishery village (kampung nelayan) located in Sepang. If you go from Banting, its a little bit further from Morib beach. The attraction of the place are: fish bak kut teh, home-made pau, mushroom farm, lingzi farm, dragon fruit farm, locally roasted coffee and of course the seafood.
Quite a few new seafood restaurants were open after news about the village came out in the newspaper. I’ve tried a few restaurants there but this one that i’m going to intro is the best yet. The seafood there is very fresh. I went with my parents and 2 bros…that makes 5 of us. We ordered a claypot taufoo, steamed fish, steamed lala, steamed mantis( lai liu ha), fried small sotong and fried mee with bamboo clam ( chuk sun). You must be wondering why is everything steamed. The waiter recommended it cos when the seafood is fresh, the best serving method is by steaming it, cos you’ll be able to taste it’s true taste.
Anyway the steamed mantis was the best of all. The meat was very ‘full’. Some prawns look very huge with the shell but once u peel the shell off then then meat very little only..if you know wat i mean. And the taste very ’sweet’ and delicious. Haha…i dunno how to describe le…You should really try it for yourself. And the price of the meal is…..RM 101.40 quite a decent price considering the portion and the freshness of the food.
Unfortunately i din take notice of the name of the restaurant..haha..so anyone who wants to go try hav to ask me along..I’ll gladly show u the way, provided i get a free meal =P Below are some of the pictures i took of the food and the view facing the restaurant.
er..i would like to make a suggestion here (particularly to the usual bunch, zac, ps, hl, reu etc)
anyone would like to go try out the seafood in tanjung sepat?
we can go bout 2-3 in the afternoon, walk in the beach awhile and bout 6 something we can go for dinner
do contact me and let me know what u guys think =)
That’s sound interesting! all the dishes there for that price, you can’t get it in KL, and the main thing is the freshness you get. But I wonder I can take the fresh smell a lot or not, hehe… Sometimes it can’t go through my throat, hehe… So munkeen, when you plan to go there? I need to prepare some vitamin M.
One thing to caiyin, the pictures of the food seems to be quite dark, can’t see the details of it, but the scenery pictures is nice. Such a nice view for dinner.
haha…cos i din on the flash ma…later the whole restaurant think i ‘jakun’ =P
But sometimes you can set the camera setting to make your picture brighter even without flash, but you need to take it with steady hand, using a small tripod is recommended. If not you can have some ghost image, hehe…
HL..ur fren?
