Shotgun Marriage

This is not something new to us, young adults I would say. Most of us have friends who got married already because of a few unprotected shivers. One of my secondary schoolmate have a 3 or 4 years old son if I remembered correctly. Been wanting to visit the kid ever since he was born until now… haha. It was recently when one of my housemate told me he went to his classmate’s wedding that made me write this.

First of all, the definition. Shotgun Marriage is an over-shot marriage which means a horny guy got a girl pregnant and where abortion is not an option and he’ll have to marry her to take up responsibility.

The thing is sex before marriage is rather common nowadays among young adults and it’s only wise to take precautions. (not to say I have that kinda luxury, sad) But the thing that puzzles me is not the physical part, meaning sex, its more of the aftermath. Sometimes I wonder what it feels like to be married at such young age. “Very regrettable”, that’s what most married men would say, even if they did got into it at the right age haha. Nowadays, 9 outta 10 marriages are based on mutual benefits, in a more simple term; money. Marriages take place after both parties are convinced that they can get what both parties wanna achieve after they get married not how good looking their partner is, it’s the bucks that you make that matters. Welcome to the real world. These couples, have they ever considered their financial capability before committing? Most of these marriages depends solely on their parents, which are probably tormented by their young kids’ marriage. The girl will have to postpone, if not stop pursueing her studies. Most cases end with the latter and what will become of her? An SPM qualified student, which will probably end up in some office as a clerk or receptionist. And her dream of having a grand marriage will forever be gone. As for the guy, he’ll be carrying heavy responsiblities, more than he’s capable off. Unless his family is willing to take care of his newly acquired family, he would have to stop pursueing his studies too. There will be no turning back for him, no other options. Difficult road lies ahead. He took the road not taken in this case. And that has made all the difference.

Even for a graduate, his salary of an average 2-2.5 k would barely be enough for himself, let alone a family to feed. So to all hot blooded peers out there, do take the necessary precautions and don’t let a few seconds of unprotected shivers ruined your life. Call me conservative but I still find it rather difficult to accept the sex at such a young age or maybe it’s an idea I’d like to believe in to explain/cover up my sacred (virgin) status. Haha maybe next year or the year after I’ll be more open bout that. At least I know if shit were to happen, which it does quite often, I have the capability to cover up my ass myself.

Do take note that I’m talking bout majority of young adults. Rich kids who can probably get married when they hit puberty are not to be discussed in the same manner. =)

So, what do you think?

Emergency ATM number

Recently, I’ve received numerous forwarded mails regarding the title above. The whole message was like this : “If you should ever be forced by a robber to withdraw money from an ATM machine, you can notify the police by entering your Pin # in reverse. For example if your pin number is 1234 then you would put in 4321. The ATM recognizes that your pin number is backwards from the ATM card you placed in the machine. The machine will still give you the money you requested, but unknown to The robber, the police will be immediately dispatched to help you. This information was recently broadcasted on TV and it states that it is seldom used because people don’t know it exists. Please pass this along to everyone possible.” Broadcasted on tv? Has anyone seen it? or even better, has anyone tried it? Is it applicable here in Malaysia or its some overseas message? If anyone has more details, do share them with us here =)

Track Day at Sepang

Last Sunday, my cousin and his group of ‘kaki’s went Sepang for their regular track day. They go like every fortnight so I decided to tag along. Here are a few pictures and the rest were mostly videos which are too huge to be upload over here. There were 6 cars in total that day, 5 subarus and an evo 8 mr in their group that day. There was a huge crowd that day, about 80 plus cars in total, mostly track cars such as Satria, Wira, a few Dc5s and also 2 Bmw Touring cars and etc etc. I was the cameraman for the whole day, taking videos in the car was more difficult than I expected especially with a digital camera. The white subaru makes me drool man.. I’m so gonna have that too someday somehow.. someday haha. Below are some of the pictures I took from my camera. Continue reading ‘Track Day at Sepang’
